The faculty of our department truly find a career in women’s health rewarding and gratifying. Through out the academic program students are given extensive career and residency advisement and counseling.

The field of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health has become a highly competitive specialty with a 4-year Residency training program. As you prepare for a career in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health you must consider options in selecting an adviser/ dean’s letter writer, electives, requesting program information, selecting residency programs, meeting important deadlines, preparing for ERAS applications and personal statement and lastly planning your interview schedule.

When making your choices about where to apply for residency you also must evaluate your personal interests and goals as the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health offers a wide variety of career paths which includes private practice, sub-specialization, academic, public health and research.
