From OBGYN
Welcome to your Ob/Gyn and Women’s Health Clerkship!
The clerkship in Obstetrics and Gynecology is six weeks in duration. Our teaching sites are Beth Israel Medical Center, Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, Jacobi Medical Center, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center-North Central Bronx Hospital, and The Jack D. Weiler Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
The purpose of the clerkship is to educate third-year medical students about a defined
core curriculum and have the students master the basic skills needed to provide primary
health care to women. Over the course of this six-week clerkship, it is our goal to provide you with clinical and didactic experiences in a variety of women’s health care settings that will enable you to begin to appreciate the positive effects of long-term relationships with patients and the interdisciplinary approach to the care of women of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds.
In this section you will find information about our overall clerkship goals, expectations and requirements as well as site-specific information.
The Office of Undergraduate Medical Education is located in Belfer Room 512.
